SLCC Libraries Welcome New Hire Ann Richins

Salt Lake Community College Libraries recently hired Ann Richins in a new library position as assistant director of content services. Ann is based in the Markosian Library at the Taylorsville Redwood Campus.

Ann’s previous library experience includes LDS Hospital as a medical librarian, as well as the Weber County Library System as a periodicals librarian.  She holds a Masters in Library Science degree from University of North Texas.

Now, in her new job at the college, Ann is looking forward to involvement in library initiatives such as Universal Access for the SLCC Libraries’ Digital Collection. “I am looking forward to working at SLCC as it seems like a really good time to be here, focusing on the vision of collaborating with college faculty as well as integrating library services into the life of the college,” she said.

Ann will oversee various Technical Services functions and other areas of the Libraries, including Cataloging, Periodicals, Acquisitions, Collection Development and Archives.  She may be reached at her office in the Markosian Library, at 801-957-4019 or emailed at ann.richins@slcc.edu .
