SLCC Offering Classes in Herriman This Fall

Salt Lake Community College will be offering classes in Herriman in the former Herriman City Hall building starting fall, 2018. The site will be known as the Herriman Center and is located at:

13011 South Pioneer Street (old City Hall building)
Herriman, Utah 84096

The hours of operation for the Herriman Center will be from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Thursday and the campus and building code that will appear on students’ schedules is HCAX.

The Herriman Center has eight classrooms that will be used to focus on general education courses and will also house various student service functions including a one-stop Student Services area, video conferencing for remote advising, student study spaces, full faculty support and free parking.  

The following courses are scheduled for the Herriman Center beginning fall, 2018:
  • BIOL 1010
  • BUS 1010 
  • BUS 1050
  • ENGL 1010
  • GEOG 1700
  • MATH 0980
  • MATH 1030
  • PSY 1010
  • COMM 1010 
  • COMM 1020


Students can begin enrolling for classes for the Herriman Center now, with classes starting on Aug. 22.  Courses can be found by searching for Herriman Annex under Campus when registering here.

With the opening of the Herriman Center, SLCC is supporting the college’s vision to strengthen the communities it serves through access to higher education.

Recognizing SLCC's 2025 Distinguished Faculty Lecturer Andrew Vogt, PhD Associate Professor, Engineering

The Distinguished Faculty Lecturer is a recognition of quality work by one of Salt Lake Community College’s full-time faculty and a charge to develop that work over an academic year into a public presentation. A committee chosen by the Associate Provost for Learning Advancement selects the faculty lecturer each year. The lecture takes place in the spring. Distinguished Faculty Lecturer Andrew Vogt, PhD Associate Professor, Engineering Dr. Andrew Vogt’s teaching philosophy is guided by two principles, curiosity and efficiency.  “Curiosity leads us to study a topic and allows us to really understand the ins and outs of research, while efficiency is all about sustainability,” he says.
