Dean Dr. David Richardson Farewell!

On June 30, 2013 the SLCC Libraries bid farewell to Interim Dean Dr. David Richardson, and a search has been underway for a permanent Director. On July 1, 2013 Jordan Campus Library Director Jon Glenn was appointed on an acting basis to coordinate the services and operations of the SLCC Libraries, with oversight direction from Associate Provost Dr. Ryan Carstens. Jon’s new title is Assistant Director of Campus Library Services.

Jon Glenn is a familiar face to many at SLCC, having held various library positions at the Taylorsville Redwood, South, and Jordan Campus libraries. He has also been active serving on the SLCC Staff Association Executive Board, but stepped down to take on his new library responsibilities.

Jon holds a Master of Library and Information Science degree from the University of North Texas, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Utah.

Did you know you can access SLCC lab software for free from your own computing device? Come learn how SLCC is supporting BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) with All Access. The goal of All Access is to provide any time, any place, and any device access to college computing and lab software SLCC students, faculty and staff. All Access works on almost any device from a PC or Mac, to tablets and smart phones. With All Access you can use programs like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, AutoCAD, MatLab, Mathematica, MyITLab, NetBeans, and online Library Databases.
