Find A Club That Fits You at Club Rush

Salt Lake Community College boasts more than 60 clubs to help you be more engaged and involved, which research shows leads to better grades! Clubs also help students become better leaders and enhance the overall quality of their higher education experience. This year’s Club Rush will take place on the following dates: Sept. 3 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jordan Campus Sept. 4 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. South City Campus Sept. 5 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Taylorsville Redwood Campus A few examples of the clubs currently active at SLCC include American Indian Student Leadership, American Sign Language, Black Student Union, Bruin Robotics, Choir, Cuisine Team, Dance, Drama, all the way up the alphabet to Queer Student Association, Refugee Club and even The Pub Club, in case you’re interested in the book-making process. If you can’t find a club that fits you, then start one! And if fishing for the right club isn’t enough incentive, then visit just for the free Dole

Next President’s Leadership Institute Focusing on ‘Five Practices’ Model

Each year the President’s Leadership Institute (PLI) gives faculty, staff and administrators the opportunity to learn more about themselves, their colleagues, the college and collaborative leadership. This year, participants will engage in an evidence-based leadership development program called “The Leadership Challenge,” based on the “Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership” model. Prior to the program, participants will complete a “leader development plan” and receive other program materials throughout.
