Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) is one of nine Utah higher education institutions to be included in a recently announced public-private partnership with NVIDIA , a global leader in artificial intelligence (AI), to empower faculty to teach generative AI skills to students. NVIDIA will provide a range of resources, including the opportunity for educators to earn a certificate through the NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute University Ambassador Program. This program will provide high-quality teaching kits, workshop materials, and access to NVIDIA’s graphics processing unit (GPU)-accelerated cloud-based workstations. Beloved Community Photo Exhibit at Salt Lake Community College Hedgehogs and Basketballs In the George S. & Dolores Doré Eccles Gallery at Salt Lake Community College South Campus, you will find an exhibit that, at first glance, may seem to be a collection of unrelated pictures. However, these photos, which include hedgehogs, basketballs, and mountains, all relate to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s idea of a Beloved Community. The Beloved Community Project has elementary and middle school kids explore what Dr. King's vision means to them through photography. Each photo represents a unique perspective on unity, cooperation, and connection, the core elements of Dr. King's vision.   Salt Lake Community College will host the formal unveiling of the  Utah Women 2020 Mural  at its South City Campus on March 6. The 1,000-square-foot-mural mural features more than 350 women, many of whom have made their mark on the Beehive State.   Pop artist and soft-sculpture pioneer Jann Haworth shepherded the project since its inception and, partnering with collage artist Liberty Blake, have painstakingly assembled nearly 300 life-size stenciled portraits to create this living, breathing testament to community and to the remarkable legacy of Utah women throughout history. Nearly 300 individuals were involved in the creation of this monumental tribute to Utah Women. To make education more accessible for athletes who are training for international competitions and the Olympics,  USA Climbing (USAC)  and Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) have formed an agreement in which SLCC will become the official community college provider to USAC.     The agreement will waive tuition for USAC national team athletes for up to 12 consecutive semesters, running through at least the 2028 Olympic Summer Games in Los Angeles. USAC athletes will have access to a variety of physiological performance assessments through faculty expertise and resources in the college’s Exercise Science program.
