Salt Lake Community College Libraries
recently hired Ann Richins in a new library position as assistant director of content services. Ann is based in the
Markosian Library at the Taylorsville Redwood Campus.
Ann’s previous library
experience includes LDS Hospital as a medical librarian, as well as the Weber
County Library System as a periodicals librarian. She holds a Masters in Library Science degree from University of North Texas.
Now, in her new job at the
college, Ann is looking forward to involvement in library initiatives such as
Universal Access for the SLCC Libraries’ Digital Collection. “I am looking forward to working
at SLCC as it seems like a really good time to be here, focusing on the vision
of collaborating with college faculty as well as integrating library services
into the life of the college,” she said.
Ann will oversee various Technical Services functions and other areas of the Libraries,
including Cataloging, Periodicals, Acquisitions, Collection Development and
Archives. She may be reached at her
