The 2016 President’s Art Show opened Nov. 9 at the Salt Lake
Community College South City Campus in the Center for Arts & Media's Multipurpose Room, where several
artists received awards during a reception. This year’s annual juried event drew from more than 280
entries and celebrates the works of
dozens of local professional and amateur artists with the hope of bringing
together people from across the community.
The awardees are:
President’s Award $1,000

Out (oil on canvas)
3rd Place $500

Brain (charcoal on paper)
The artwork will remain on display until Nov. 18
from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on
Friday (closed Saturday and Sunday). Many of the pieces, representing multiple mediums, are for sale.
