New Respiratory Therapy Program Starts Spring, 2018

The Salt Lake Community College School of Health Sciences is pleased to announce that the Utah System of Higher Education’s Board of Regents has approved the Respiratory Therapy Program for SLCC at its Jordan Campus.

The accreditation process is one that continues until SLCC has seated a class and there is a site visit, and the College is in that process. Although SLCC cannot guarantee that the program will be accredited (and the College must disclose to students that it is in the accreditation process) School of Health Sciences Dean Dr. JoAnne Wright is confident that SLCC will obtain accreditation for this program, which will offer a night class and admit 24 students each spring. The first class will be seated spring, 2018.

The admissions website will be up soon, and SLCC is in the process of finalizing the one-sheet for information with the prerequisites. If you have questions about admissions, call Sue Christensen at 801-957-6253.
