Salt Lake Community College Provost Dr. Chris Picard and
School of Business Dean Dr. Dennis Bromley were each given the Community
Partnership Award by Utah State University for their role in creating a new
business education partnership between the schools.
The two received their awards during the first-ever USU Salt
Lake Recognition and Awards event held in May at SLCC’s Taylorsville Redwood
Campus.
Over the course of two years Picard, Bromley and USU Senior
Vice Provost Dr. Ronda Rudd Menlove worked on articulation of degrees and an
agreement that allows USU to deliver business education instruction at SLCC.
“It has been very successful and allows a student to
complete a business degree from USU right on our Taylorsville Redwood Campus,”
Picard said. He called it a “win-win partnership” that greatly benefits
students.
