The production "To Be Frank..." at the Black Box Theatre on Salt Lake Community College's South City Campus bills itself as offering a different play every night. There are many ways to describe it: face paced, unusual, provocative, interactive, hilarious, sad, frightening and touching. The play consists of several two-minute plays in one, and each scene begins when a cast member pops a balloon. Some of the scenes are continuations of others, but they are all chosen out of order by audience members.
The play runs Sept. 20-22, 7:30 p.m. each night. South City Campus is located at 1575 S. State Street in Salt Lake City.
The Black Box Theatre at Salt Lake Community College is the home of the SLCC Theatre program and Majoring in Improv. Throughout the year, the Black Box Theatre produces three full productions, a 24-hour theatre festival, improv shows and student showcases. Whether onstage or in the audience, productions are open to all SLCC students and community members. To purchase tickets, call 801-957-3322.
