Examples of trashion wear include the following:
- Recyclable—recovering fiber, yarn, or fabric and reprocessing the material into new, useful products.
- Repurposed—clothing that are worn out or damaged e.g., old t-shirts turned into cleaning rags, jeans that are made into tote bags, and sweaters transformed into cozy pillow covers.
- Upcycled—transforming old clothes into new items. This can include adding patches, dyeing fabrics, or even cutting and re-sewing pieces to create a completely new garment.
