Professional Development Day 2014

Dear SLCC Faculty and Staff:

On Friday, January 10 we’ll all be together under one roof for Professional Development Day at our South City Campus, 1575 South State Street, Salt Lake City.

You should arrive by 8:00 a.m., in time for opening remarks at 8:25 in the Grand Theatre by Interim President Deneece Huftalin. She will be followed by our keynote speaker David Katz’s presentation “Emotional Intelligence, Efficacy and Success.”

Our day will include two workshops and then lunch, which is available only to those who registered in advance for the workshops. Various meetings are scheduled throughout the afternoon, ending by 4:30.

Salt Lake Community College’s annual Undergraduate Projects, Performances, Presentations, and Research Conference (UP3RC) is set to take place on April 2, at the Taylorsville Redwood Campus, offering students a chance to showcase their academic achievements, fostering a culture of intellectual exchange. The UP3RC is an annual event designed to celebrate and highlight the academic accomplishments of undergraduate students. SLCC West Valley Center will be opening its doors on Friday, August 2, from 6-9 pm for their annual lowrider event that celebrates the automotive culture and welcomes current, past, and future Bruins into the SLCC community. Salt Lake Community College is deeply committed to our students, faculty, and staff. We strive to be a place where all are welcomed and respected.
