The SLCC Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships is looking for employee volunteers to review and rate scholarship applications. With the implementation of AwardSpring as the college's online scholarship application software, the office is gathering more applications than ever before and need your help to find the best candidates.
Reviewers will be required to attend a training during the month of February to learn how to use our online system. Following the training, reviewers will be given assignments that correlate with application deadlines. The biggest time commitment is February-March, but reviewers may be asked to help with some of the smaller reviews in April and November as well. On average, reviewers are given between 40-75 applications to review each application cycle, and between 2-3 weeks to complete the assignment. Reviewers are welcome to complete assignments as their work schedule allows, with supervisor approval. The Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships is asking for at least a one year commitment, but would be happy if reviewers are able to commit for at least two years.
