Music by Air Supply’s Graham Russell Rocks ‘A Wall Apart’ Production at Grand

The Grand Theatre is proud to present the world premiere of an original rock musical, A Wall Apart, Aug. 15 through Sept. 7. The musical is presented in a more intimate setting as part of the theatre’s Backstage series, with audience members sitting on stage with the actors.

With scars from one war, three brothers in East Berlin face another battle as the Berlin Wall divides their city. As the brothers strive to find their way, three generations of family ties, brotherhood, love, marriage and parenthood are tested. What is the price of liberty? Will the wall divide or unite this family?

The Grand Theatre performances feature the New York Musical Festival production team, with music and lyrics by Lord Graham Russell of Air Supply. The musical is based on a book by Sam Goldstein and Craig Clyde and comes to the stage to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the destruction of the Berlin Wall.

This production is rated PG. To purchase tickets online, click here. The Grand Theatre is located at 1575 South State Street in Salt Lake City on Salt Lake Community College’s South City Campus. To reach the Box Office, call 801-957-3322.

The Salt Lake Community College volleyball program is one of the nation's top junior college programs on the court but the Bruins are also one of the leaders in the classroom. The program released its academic accomplishments from the 2018-19 academic year over the Memorial Day weekend, celebrating several individual and team accomplishments. SLCC's awards represent another year where the Bruins have been recognized for the success of their student-athletes.  Salt Lake coach   Sue Dulaney   said the team focuses on academics in almost all of their team activities. "We are very proud of the accomplishments that our team has achieved academically," she said. "These hard-working, competitive and dedicated individuals know the classroom is extremely important and that those habits carry over onto the volleyball court.  This is the best spring we have had in two years regarding our returning class. I cannot wait to see what accomplishments they will achieve o...
