One Small Change

One Small Change is a health behavior change program that encourages participants to identify one health behavior that they would like to adopt, modify, or eliminate and live that change for at least 21 days. This program runs for four weeks.

GrammarPhobia Follow-Up Fun Writing Workshops

You asked for it!  We’ve got it! This summer, the WAC program will host playful, interactive workshops to scratch your grammar itch!  After an introduction to the SLCC Style Guide, participants will share their most frustrating, or feared, grammar questions. Together, we’ll use the style guide to get to the right answer for you!

The Summit is an opportunity for the higher education community to learn, share, and connect with one another around open education, both in terms of vision and practice. Some programs will be limited to new and returning OTN members, but many will be open more broadly. We will have recordings available following most sessions. Meditative Pause at SLCC 

Join SLCC faculty Heidi O’Donoghue and Andrea Malouf each week for Meditative Pause for People in Higher Education. Each week we will take a break from doing and problem-solving to come together for half-hour sessions to connect, relax and center via WebEx. We’ll explore breathing and relaxation techniques, as well as best practices for mindful communication and well-being. Each session will include an introduction to the weekly topic, a guided meditation and then a group reflection.

Did you know you can access SLCC lab software for free from your own computing device?   Come learn how SLCC is supporting BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) with All Access. SLCC Alumnus and U.S. Diplomat to Speak at 2025 Commencement

Salt Lake Community College’s 2025 Commencement speaker Branigan Knowlton will share his perspectives drawn from a 12-year career as a Foreign Service Officer with the U.S. Department of State. In serving his country, Knowlton has honed his foreign relations and diplomacy skills in Hong Kong, Mexico, Colombia and Italy. Knowlton is also a proud Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) alumnus (2002).     Knowlton currently serves at the U.S. Embassy in Rome. Before reporting to the embassy, he was detailed to the Italian Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport as part of the Transatlantic Diplomatic Fellowship program. In Bogotá, Knowlton worked for the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement, and in Hermosillo, Mexico, he worked for the Bureau of Consular Affairs.
