Career Advancement Program (CAP) “Meet the Professionals” Series What is your Dream Career?

If you could talk to and learn skills and abilities from someone who is actually working in your Dream Career, would you do it?

The mission of the CAP (Career Advancement Program) lecture series is to establish supportive relationships between professionals and SLCC students. This is to broaden the students’ vision into their future to help them attain their fullest academic, emotional and social potential by creating a firm educational foundation.

CAP presenters in the past have been CEOs, Presidents, Business Owners, NBA Coach, Broadcaster, Educator, Accountants, Financial Planners, Graphic Artist, Policeman/Sniper, Lawyer, Marketing, County Mayor, City Mayors, Bankers, Photographers and many other professions. 

Each professional who presents at CAP will have a story of overcoming obstacles, as there are many, and how you can progress by conquering them. All of them are ready and willing to teach you what they have learned so that you can accelerate your career goals in living the life you Dream of and deserve.

Volleyball Team Also Excels in the Classroom

The Salt Lake Community College volleyball program is one of the nation's top junior college programs on the court but the Bruins are also one of the leaders in the classroom. The program released its academic accomplishments from the 2018-19 academic year over the Memorial Day weekend, celebrating several individual and team accomplishments. SLCC's awards represent another year where the Bruins have been recognized for the success of their student-athletes.  Salt Lake coach   Sue Dulaney   said the team focuses on academics in almost all of their team activities.
