Career Advancement Program (CAP) “Meet the Professionals” Series What is your Dream Career?

If you could talk to and learn skills and abilities from someone who is actually working in your Dream Career, would you do it?

The mission of the CAP (Career Advancement Program) lecture series is to establish supportive relationships between professionals and SLCC students. This is to broaden the students’ vision into their future to help them attain their fullest academic, emotional and social potential by creating a firm educational foundation.

CAP presenters in the past have been CEOs, Presidents, Business Owners, NBA Coach, Broadcaster, Educator, Accountants, Financial Planners, Graphic Artist, Policeman/Sniper, Lawyer, Marketing, County Mayor, City Mayors, Bankers, Photographers and many other professions. 

Each professional who presents at CAP will have a story of overcoming obstacles, as there are many, and how you can progress by conquering them. All of them are ready and willing to teach you what they have learned so that you can accelerate your career goals in living the life you Dream of and deserve.

Did you know you can access SLCC lab software for free from your own computing device?   Come learn how SLCC is supporting BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) with All Access. SLCC’s Dental Hygiene Receives Grant from Intermountain to Provide No-Cost Dental Cleanings

SLCC Dental Hygiene Clinic With a generous grant from Intermountain, SLCC's Dental Hygiene students can now provide dental cleaning and x-rays to patients at no cost while gaining practical experience. This benefits the students by removing the stress of justifying the value of dental cleaning to their patients and providing the community with dental services without charge. The grant provides the students with an opportunity to serve the community better. “Our Dental Hygiene students have been known for fronting the charges for their patients, but now they are only focusing on providing the best quality care for them," says Associate Dean for the Division of Allied Health Dr. Angela Belnap. Every year, the program welcomes 24 new students who undergo a rigorous program.
