SLCC Professor Lynn Kilpatrick “In the House” book reading

SLCC English professor Lynn Kilpatrick will be giving a reading from her book, “In the House” at the Hivemind Book Club on January 22. Hivemind is located at 255 S Central Campus Drive Rm 3-171 on the University of Utah campus. 

 The event begins at 7:00 p.m. and is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided in addition to the scintillating conversation. A discussion will follow Kilpatrick’s reading.

Kilpatrick’s session of the book club is also sponsored by the SLCC English Department.
The book club meeting will be held Thursday January 29 at 7 pm in Room 3-171. There will be treats!

“In the House” and Kilpatrick’s other works are available for purchase at SLCC bookstore locations and at The King’s English book shop.


Hivemind is a city-wide book club sponsored by the University of Utah Creative Writing Program that meets once a month to discuss a book by visiting writers from the University of Utah Creative Writing Program's Guest Writers Series.

Volleyball Team Also Excels in the Classroom

The Salt Lake Community College volleyball program is one of the nation's top junior college programs on the court but the Bruins are also one of the leaders in the classroom. The program released its academic accomplishments from the 2018-19 academic year over the Memorial Day weekend, celebrating several individual and team accomplishments.
