Women's, Men's Basketball Teams Headed to Nationals

Everyone is invited to the Bruin Send-Off Thursday, March 15, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Student Event Center of the Student Center on the Salt Lake Community College Taylorsville Redwood Campus. Both the men's (30-3 for the season) and women's (26-5) basketball teams are headed to the NJCAA national tournaments. The women will play in Lubbock, Texas for a first-round matchup March 19 against ASA Brooklyn. The men received a first-round bye and are scheduled March 21 to play the winner of the South Plains and Highland game. The event Thursday will feature free food, "minute-to-win-it" games and a chance to meet the players and coaches and wish them well.
