Artists Compete for Prize Money in Annual President’s Art Show



Everyone is invited to the Salt Lake Community College President's Art Show, an annual, juried show with a total of $5,000 in prize money. This year 71 pieces were selected by the SLCC Art Committee from more than 230 entries.

The show celebrates Utah artists and the powerful ways in which art brings people together. This year’s exhibition showcases a wide range of talented professional and amateur artists using their skills in a variety of media. Many of the works are for sale.

The opening reception will be held between 6 - 8 p.m. on Nov. 4 at the SLCC South City Campus. Awards will be announced at 7 p.m.

President's Award $1,000*

Community Award $1,000**
**Selected by honorary art community representative.

The following are selected by three local art professionals and/or artists:
Dennis Klaus Honorary Award $500
Best in Show $1,500
2nd place $500
3rd place $500

Exhibit dates:
·      Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
·      Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Did you know you can access SLCC lab software for free from your own computing device?   Come learn how SLCC is supporting BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) with All Access.
