Ready to eat? Taher Announces Food Services Updates

Here are the latest bites of news for what hungry Bruins need to know about Taher Inc.’s new food services at SLCC campuses:


  • If you’re ready to cater an event at SLCC, Taher’s new online ordering site CaterTrax has gone live! Watch the quick tutorial and create an account. Vegan and gluten free options are available. For questions or comments, please contact Taher Catering Director Trina Frandsen at 801-957-4520. Or, just click here to get started!


  • Taher is now offering daily grill specials at the Redwood and Miller food court locations. Visit them for breakfast or lunch! Also, check out their daily specials on Instagram at Taher@SLCC and on Facebook @taherslcc.


  • Taher now has a frequent buyer program. Ask for a punch card when you purchase your meal. Buy 10 meals get the 11th meal free!


  • Please, submit any feedback and suggestions on a comment card located at the Grill at Redwood or in Miller Café. You may also email your feedback to Taher General Manager Jason Talcott and SLCC Auxiliary Services Manager Gina Chase.


Hours of Operation

  • Redwood Campus: Monday - Thursday, 8 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. and Friday, 8 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.   
  • Miller Campus: Monday - Wednesday 6:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m., Thursday 6:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. and closed Friday

Volleyball Team Also Excels in the Classroom

The Salt Lake Community College volleyball program is one of the nation's top junior college programs on the court but the Bruins are also one of the leaders in the classroom. The program released its academic accomplishments from the 2018-19 academic year over the Memorial Day weekend, celebrating several individual and team accomplishments. SLCC's awards represent another year where the Bruins have been recognized for the success of their student-athletes.  Salt Lake coach   Sue Dulaney   said the team focuses on academics in almost all of their team activities. "We are very proud of the accomplishments that our team has achieved academically," she said. "These hard-working, competitive and dedicated individuals know the classroom is extremely important and that those habits carry over onto the volleyball court.  This is the best spring we have had in two years regarding our returning class.
