[Former Salt Lake Community College student] Ryan Brown is humble and quiet by nature, but put him to work in a classroom and his personality and love for the job come alive. Ryan plays a special role in Jordan School District as one of seven interpreters for deaf students. This year he is assigned to a seventh grade student at South Hills Middle. That’s where you can see Ryan’s passion for helping deaf children learn, love education and embrace the classroom and classmates. Ryan is exceptional in his professionalism, service to students and in his attitude. That’s why he was chosen as Utah Interpreter of the Year by an organization that represents people in his field from all over the state. Congratulations Ryan! We are proud to have you as a member of the District team.
