Salt Lake Community College has a program to help students obtain internships in Washington D.C. The College is currently accepting applications for the program for the Summer 2013 semester.
Information meetings will be held at the College’s Taylorsville Redwood Campus in the Student Center, in room 217 on the following dates:
- Tuesday, October 2 at 2:00 p.m.
- Monday, October 15 at 11:00 a.m.
- Thursday, October 25 at 12:30 p.m.
The internships give students opportunities to learn on the job, engage with national business people, add important skills, and enhance their resumes in ways they couldn’t do any other way.
Internships generally last one semester. Applicants get to select their own area of interest. Students can pursue internships in areas as diverse as politics, the FBI, art, aeronautics, or any other option that offers an internship in the Washington D.C. area. Students accepted into the program will receive interview training and may be eligible to receive a stipend to cover some of the costs associated with their internship.
