Derreck Kayongo - Global Soap Project
11 am, Taylorsville Redwood Campus Student Event Center
7 pm Salt Lake City Main Library

African refugee, turned philanthropist, activist, and finalist for CNN's Hero 2011, Derreck Kayongo will share his story of funding the Global Soap Project, and NGO that recycles gently used soaps and ships them to locations that do not have access to soap.

Diversity Exploration Series: "Diversity is All About Us"
Noon-1 pm, Taylorsville Redwood Campus Student Center Oak Room

The Diversity Exploration Series is designed to bring multicultural and diversity awareness to students, staff, and faculty at SLCC. The program provides opportunities for respectful interaction and meaningful dialogue among people of diverse backgrounds.

International Folk Festival
11 am - 2 pm Taylorsville Redwood Campus Student Event Center

The festival includes international dances and tasting a variety of cuisines. The activities will promote culture awareness by increasing understanding of cultures and traditions around the world.
