Alison McFarlane has been named Salt Lake Community College’s Vice President of Institutional Advancement. McFarlane joined the College in August 2007 and previously served as the College’s Assistant Vice President of Institutional Marketing & Communications.
“I believe in the mission of this College and in the access to education and training it provides,” McFarlane said. “As the Vice President of Institutional Advancement, I am excited to work with the many stakeholders of this institution and to help position the finest community college in the country for the future."
Prior to joining the College, McFarlane worked as Senior Advisor for Economic Development for Salt Lake City Corporation.
The College’s marketing department has received numerous awards under McFarlane’s direction, including several Addy Awards and a silver medal from the National Council for Marketing & Public Relations. McFarlane received a Rockie award in the category of marketing from the American Advertising Federation of Utah for her work at the College.
