Salt Lake Community College SLCC Athletic Operations Coordinator Lisa Peshell has been named the Utah High School Activities Association (UHSAA) High School Volleyball Official of the Year. Peshell is co-president of the Salt Lake Volleyball Officials Association, and works as an arbiter and assigner in addition to officiating Utah high school volleyball matches.
“There are so many talented high school volleyball officials in Utah to choose from, this award means a lot,” said Peshell. “I'm very appreciative of the volleyball officiating community for allowing me this honor, and would like to thank Becky Anderson at USHAA for her continuing support of Utah high school volleyball.”
Peshell started officiating high school volleyball in Utah in 2002, and became a college official in the 2005-06 season. She is a USA Volleyball Junior National official as well. In addition to her work with high school and collegiate volleyball, Lisa has worked for SLCC Athletics for the past 17 years.
