Auditions for Fame at The Grand Theatre


The Grand Theatre will be holding auditions for Fame on Friday, June 21, 2013 from 5:00 - 10:00 p.m. The Grand Theatre is located at 1575 South State Street, Salt Lake City.


Auditions will be held in the Annex Building, located in the South-east corner of the parking lot at 1610 South State Street, east of Salt Lake Community College’s South City Campus. Dave Hanson will be directing the production, which will run October 10-26, 2013 at the Grand Theatre.
Rehearsals will begin in August.

Those interested in auditioning for the play can call the Grand Theatre box office at (801) 957-3322 to schedule an audition time. Each actor will be scheduled in 5-minute blocks and should select 16 bars of a Musical Theatre piece and a short 30-second monologue to perform. Dance combinations will be taught at the invitation-only callbacks.

Volleyball Team Also Excels in the Classroom

The Salt Lake Community College volleyball program is one of the nation's top junior college programs on the court but the Bruins are also one of the leaders in the classroom. The program released its academic accomplishments from the 2018-19 academic year over the Memorial Day weekend, celebrating several individual and team accomplishments. SLCC's awards represent another year where the Bruins have been recognized for the success of their student-athletes.  Salt Lake coach   Sue Dulaney   said the team focuses on academics in almost all of their team activities.
