Pride in Academics

SLCC Multicultural Initiatives holds an annual event at the end of each year called “Pride in Academics.” The event is hosted by the Multicultural Initiatives office to recognize students and their academic accomplishments, particularly those who are graduating. Each student is given an opportunity to state their name, major and their future plans. Students who are invited to this event must have a 3.30 cumulative GPA or higher and 55 or more credits.

On April 25, 95+ students along with their families and friends gathered together at the Health Sciences Auditorium on the Jordan Campus met to celebrate, commend, and congratulate these students and their achievements.

Richard Scott was recognized for being instrumental in advancing the vision and mission of the Multicultural Initiatives department, which ultimately is to assist students accomplish their educational goals at SLCC.

The Multicultural Initiatives Staff thanks everyone who was able to attend this event, whether physically or in spirit. Graduates, we celebrate and commend you all on this fine achievement.
