Recreation Center Reopens for Appointments

Salt Lake Community College is making available some of the recreation services available to employees in the Lifetime Activities Center on the Taylorsville Redwood Campus.

Employees should reserve their spot in either the strength room or the cardio room by booking online - just click here. Reservations will take place on a first-come, first-served basis. Center staff will continue with phone reservations until the online scheduling portal is tested and working, at which time the Center will move to online booking only.

Recreation Center Reopening Rules/Guidelines:

Cardio and strength room opens Tuesday: May 5
Hours: 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. (last registration slot is 4 p.m.)
Reservations will start at the top of each hour and go for 45 minutes. The rec staff will then give the equipment an extra cleaning for 15 minutes before the next group is admitted.
Registration will open at noon for the next day’s slots
We will follow guidelines set forth by the Salt Lake County Health Department
Observe social distancing
No Locker room access (restrooms will be open in the LAC)
Sick employees will be asked to not sign up
Employees will wear masks and customers will wear masks when possible
Employees will disinfect equipment between uses, but we request users clean as they go
We encourage everyone to bring their own water bottles as opposed to using the drinking fountains
These guidelines will be updated as warranted

Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) proudly announces a partnership with the Larry H. & Gail Miller Family Foundation to modernize its Business Building and transform its School of Business. The improvements are made possible through a generous $10 million gift from the Miller Family Foundation and Gail Miller, the largest-ever single cash donation received by the college. SLCC is renaming its Business Building the Larry H. & Gail Miller Family Business Building in honor of the Miller family’s legacy and contributions to the community. Salt Lake Community College’s annual Undergraduate Projects, Performances, Presentations, and Research Conference (UP3RC) is set to take place on April 2, at the Taylorsville Redwood Campus, offering students a chance to showcase their academic achievements, fostering a culture of intellectual exchange. The UP3RC is an annual event designed to celebrate and highlight the academic accomplishments of undergraduate students. It provides a supportive environment for students to share their work, hone their presentations skills, receive constructive feedback, and engage in meaningful discussions with their peers and faculty. All SLCC departments and programs, including faculty and staff, are encouraged to support and visit the day of the event.
